Tri-Lakes Medical Center, Batesville, Miss., has filed a petition with the CMS (PDF) seeking a waiver to switch to an in-state organ-procurement organization.

Wes Sigler, Tri-Lakes' CEO, said in a statement that the medical center “made this decision in part to help keep as many donations as possible in the state of Mississippi.”
