GRAND RAPIDS — Anybody who has heard Holly Werlein’s story on her second chance on life following an emergency liver transplant knows that her inspiration is palpable.
Now, Werlein has formally been titled an inspirational person as the Gaylord native was named one of the 12 Inspiring Women of “20 Million in 2012” through Donate Life America.
“I am so honored and humbled,” Werlein said. “It means so much to me to be a role model for a good cause. I never thought I would come this far and my life would be so impactful on others. If my voice can impact people to make a positive difference to help save lives then I am helping to make the world a better place.”
According to a www.donatelife.net, Werlein was selected because of her commitment to increasing the number of saved lives through organ and tissue donation.
