Friends and family members of Alicia Foss planted a tree in her memory Friday at Kennewick High School.
29-year old Foss was an advocate of organ donation and received a double lung transplant almost two years ago. She died on Tuesday.
Foss graduated from Kennewick High School in 2001 and her parents say the school was a very special place for her. "She wasn't sick the year she was at Kennewick High School. This is when she had her best health, and was able to do and enjoy things most kids want to do growing up," said Alicia's father, Jim Foss.
A plaque will also be added with her name, the day she died and her favorite quote. A public memorial service for Alicia will be held Saturday, April 7th at South Hills Baptist Church in Kennewick. It begins at 11 a.m.
