Pennsylvania Participates in 20 in 2012

Gift of Life Donor Program

With 2012 well underway, Donate Life America is dedicated to raising the bar in registering individuals to become organ and tissue donors. To raise awareness for the critical need for more organ and tissue donors, Donate Life America has launched a fresh initiative entitled, “20 Million in 2012.”

The “20 Million in 2012” campaign’s mission is to dramatically increase the number of designated donors to 20 million people, by hosting numerous events throughout the year to encourage people to take action.

One of the several promotional events taking place throughout the campaign is the “I am Hope” 365 stories initiative. Through “I am Hope”, each week a certain state will feature organ and tissue donation stories stemming from their state. By sharing these organ donation experience stories through social media and the web, awareness for donor designation will go viral.

From Sunday January 15 to Saturday January 21, Donate Life America will feature the state of Pennsylvania. The Gift of Life Donor Program, along with CORE, will be sharing stories of donation experiences from Pennsylvania. Make sure to visit our Facebook page, along with Donate Pennsylvania and CORE to follow Pennsylvania’s participation.
