ideastream-tri-part-logo-(2)
Over the last several months, Lifebanc has been working closely with WVIZ and WCPN ideastream on a multiple media series including radio, television, high school long distance learning and web content focused on organ, eye and tissue donation, transplantation and the stories of people who give life and those who receive it. Beginning January 13, you can see the power of second chances, how one family's miracle comes from another one's loss and how surgery is just the beginning with "LifeGiving: Transplant Stories."
For 10 days, the topic at ideastream will be organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation and Lifebanc will be featured throughout the series. The centerpiece of the television coverage is the locally produced special "LifeGiving: Transplant Stories" that will air Thursday, January 20 at 8pm on WVIZ (PBS).  This half-hour television documentary tells the story of organ donation through four segments that illustrate the transplant “process” full circle. Additional television coverage will be on the January 13 episode of Applause and January 21 episode of Feagler & Friends.
Additionally, on 90.3 WCPN, the topic will be extensively discussed during Morning Edition on January 14 and 17-21, and the The Sound of Ideas® on January 18 and 19.
